However, many schools lack adequate UKS facilities, which must be addressed to optimize stunting prevention and improve adolescent health. Objective of the Intervention: The intervention aims to enhance knowledge, skills, and spiritual identity by using a UKS approach that integrates health education and UKS training with Islamic and Muhammadiyah values. Methods:The methods employed include a talk show “Islamic Adolescents Prevent Stunting” and UKS cadre training for students and teachers. Results:The intervention led to an average increase in knowledge of 39.4%, with the proportion of students demonstrating good knowledge rising from 47.4% to 86.8%, and students acquiring practical skills such as measuring body weight and height, providing first aid during accidents, and administering basic treatments. The integration of an Islamic dimension strengthened internal motivation and character development among students. Conclusion: The UKS effectively transforms knowledge into healthy lifestyle practices and holds significant potential for long-term stunting reduction.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 ridha mardiyanihttps://journal.stikesyarsimataram.ac.id/index.php/lentera/article/view/541PENGKAPASITASAN IBU HAMIL MELALUI PROGRAM “BECOMING MOTHER AND NURTURING WOMEN’S HEALTH” 2025-10-09T07:12:19+00:00Ni Kadek Diah Purnamayantinpurnamayanti@undiksha.ac.idIda Ayu Diah Purnamasariida.ayu.diahsari@undiksha.ac.idHesteria Friska Armynia Subrathaarmynia.subratha@undiksha.ac.id
Kayuputih Village is a tourist village in Buleleng Regency, located in the highlands overlooking Lovina Beach at the foot of the hill. The program is designed to increase the knowledge, skills, and confidence of pregnant women in preparing for motherhood, while simultaneously improving women's overall health and well-being. Limited knowledge among patients, families, and communities regarding TB transmission prevention contributes significantly to ongoing spread. Advances in communication technology—particularly the widespread use of WhatsApp—provide new opportunities for delivering health education in an accessible, efficient, and sustainable manner. This community service program aimed to improve tuberculosis patients’ knowledge about TB transmission prevention through direct counseling and the distribution of educational videos via WhatsApp. The intervention was conducted at Ngasem Public Health Center (Puskesmas Ngasem), involving 30 TB patients as participants. The activity included preparation, face-to-face counseling, distribution of educational videos over five consecutive days, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test questionnaires delivered online. Analysis revealed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge after the intervention, indicated by a p-value of 0.000. These results confirm the effectiveness of WhatsApp as a health education medium capable of reinforcing understanding through repeated exposure to content, clear visual explanations, and ease of access. Furthermore, WhatsApp enables flexible two-way communication between health workers and patients, supporting continuous guidance and clarification. In conclusion, WhatsApp-based video education represents an effective strategy for improving knowledge of TB transmission prevention and holds strong potential for broader and sustained implementation within community health programs.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Achmad Wahdi, Moh. The activity was conducted through health education using lectures, interactive discussions, and leaflet media, preceded by a pretest and followed by a posttest to evaluate knowledge levels. The target participants were adults and elderly people living in an underdeveloped village in Central Lombok Regency. The results showed an improvement in community knowledge after the educational intervention. This activity indicates that community empowerment through CERDIK-based education can serve as an effective promotive and preventive strategy for hypertension control in underdeveloped rural areas.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Lalu Amri Yasir Amri, Harlina Putri Rusiana, Zulkahfi, Putri Nindy Pariha, Rias Pratiwi Safitri, Ilham, Dewik Damayanti, Ni Made Sari Darmayanti, David Pratama Hakim, Della Septia Alfiantihttps://journal.stikesyarsimataram.ac.id/index.php/lentera/article/view/573STRATEGI PEMBERDAYAAN INKLUSIF: INTEGRASI PELATIHAN BAHASA ISYARAT BAGI TENAGA KESEHATAN DAN PELATIHAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN UNTUK PEREMPUAN DISABILITAS2026-01-10T02:25:11+00:00Dheska Arthyka Palifianadheska87@gmail.comSitti Khadijahdheska_arthyka@respati.ac.idDevillya Puspita Dewidheska_arthyka@respati.ac.idDita Septian Anggrainidheska_arthyka@respati.ac.idMufliha Hasandheska_arthyka@respati.ac.id

This Community Service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat - PkM) is motivated by two interrelated issues: (1) low communication accessibility in health services for individuals with hearing disabilities, and (2) limited economic opportunities for women with disabilities. The program aims to implement an inclusive empowerment strategy by integrating two main activities: a sign language introductory workshop for health workers and entrepreneurship training—covering packaging, marketing of catfish nuggets, and the production of mini sushi and pizza—for women with disabilities. The activities employed participatory and training-based methods, conducted through parallel and integrated workshops. The first workshop trained health workers in basic sign language and inclusive communication. The second workshop equipped women with disabilities with practical skills in producing and marketing simple culinary products. Program evaluation was carried out through participant observation, pre-test and post-test questionnaires on satisfaction and knowledge, as well as photo and video documentation. The PkM was implemented from August to September 2024.The results demonstrate success in two key areas: (1) For health workers, there was an increase in understanding and basic skills in sign language communication, along with heightened awareness of the importance of accessible health services. (2) For women with disabilities, participants were able to independently apply culinary production skills, showed increased motivation to pursue entrepreneurship, and reported greater self-confidence. This PkM program successfully demonstrated that an integrated empowerment approach—simultaneously targeting capacity building for service providers (health workers) and beneficiaries (women with disabilities)—is effective in creating sustainable impact. The model offers a practical framework for fostering inclusive health communication and economic participation
2026-01-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Dheska Arthyka Palifiana, Sitti Khadijah, Devillya Puspita Dewi, Dita Septian Anggraini, Mufliha Hasan
